Product Description

This genuine OEM water filter improves the taste and quality of your water by filtering out contaminants like sediment, lead, herbicides, pesticides, and chlorine. The water filter in your fridge should be changed every six months, or when it has treated 200 gallons of water, whichever comes first. Signs that your filter is overdue is if the taste or odor of your water has changed, or the water dispenser on your fridge has slowed down or stopped dispensing. After changing out the filter, you should run water through the dispenser for about three minutes in order to condition the filter.

Hello Suze, thank you for writing. Pour some distilled Vinegar into a cup and pour it down the tube. (If your fridge has an ice maker as well, turn it on so that the vinegar will clean the ice maker system as well) Try to get a bottle brush to dip the end in the vinegar this way you can clean inside the water sprout as well

Replace filter
Turn filter housing counter clockwise until it separates. Remove old filter and insert new filter. Replace filter housing by turning clockwise until it is seated be careful not to over tighten. Couldn't have been simpler.

side bin on the freezer door was broken.
It was fairly easy. Just open the freezer door remove the broken bin. Snap in the new one.

Hinge Bearing keeps breaking
This is the second time I've had to replace the hinge bearing. Two people are needed to accomplish this job. first, take all food items off the door. Have one person lift the door so that it comes off the rod. Second person inserts bearing on the rod, then guides the door back onto the rod. Job done! As Ina Garten would say, "how easy is that?" As for the replacement filter, this just screws in and out - no tools needed.

Unscrewed the outer cover. Pulled out old filter. Put new filter in. Screwed on outer cover. Ran water through the refrigerator for a few minutes. Delivery time was so quick! Love doing business with this company.
