My washer was leaking water so badly, it was draining to the down stairs apartment!!
My Washer is a Washer & Dryer Combo!! I First Disconnected the Power and taped the power cord firmly to the top of washer!! Then i shut off the hot & cold water valves and disconnected the hoses from behind the washer and drained hoses to plastic bucket!! Next i Turned off gas Valve, and disconnected gas hose from the valve!! I then pull

ed washer out from in back of the wall, and disconnected the dryer vent hose from in back of the dryer!! I then pulled my washer out to an open space and carefully laid it down on its side!! I then Checked out the leaky pump to make sure it matched the replacement pump!! All good, it was a go!! :)) Using a pair of channel lock pliers, i squeezed the hose clamps and moved back just far enough to remove the hoses from the pump!! Then with a screw driver, i unbuckled the pump hold down straps and removed the leaky pump from motor shaft!! My pump removed very easily without use of a screwdriver!! I then lined up new pump with motor shaft, and made sure that the three points lined up right!! After i new that the new pump was aligned properly, I First Secured the 2 Pump Hold Down straps and made sure pump was secured to the motor shaft!! The i put back on the suction and the discharge hoses and secured the clamps to the pump!! At this point my pump repair surgery was complete!! I then stood the machine upright, reconnected everything i described i had either disconnected or unplugged and ran the washer through a Test Cycle!! All good, No Leaks, and back to normal living!! :))
