This evaporator fan motor is located in the back of the freezer, and circulates air over the refrigerator coils. These coils will convert the heat into cool air, which is then circulated.

Remove all the drawers and shelves. Remove the four screws on the back panel (three at the bottom, one at the top middle). Pull out the back panel and disconnect the two power supply connectors. The evaporator fan is located at the top behind the panel. Remove the old fan case. The fan blades are pinched onto the motor shaft by a concentr ic spring. Use a flat screw driver to push the spring inward to release the fan blades. Install the new evaporator fan motor. Pull the spring on the fan blade base to flush with the base and push the fan blades onto the shaft. Reverse the steps above to install the fridge.
