Pump had stop displacing water at spin cycle
Facing washer placed it on right side exposing underneath. Pump and transmission bearing items are accessible from this position. Followed step by step instructions contained with each part. Placed unit upright, supplied power and ran smallest allowed cycle to test. Unit works like new. Actually spin drys better, dryer clothes which works o ur older dryer less. Great tune-up and should give us several more years of service.

Washer would run and agitate but would not spin.
Prior to the spin cycle not working, the washer would make a loud screeching noise when the spin cycle would stop. I wasn't sure if there was a problem with the break rotor or some bearing was out. Due to the washer's age, I decided to go ahead and replace the pulley, brake rotor, motor pivot spring and snubber ring components.
I be gan by unplugging the unit first, securing the lid with duct tape and laying the washer on its front face. I removed the belt and transmission pulley per instructions contained in the replacement kit. Mainly consists of popping the "E" ring off with a screwdriver. Once the pulley was off, I stood the washer upright and to access and remove tub. Having the tub out made it easier to compress the brake spring when re-attaching the brake stator. Removing the tub is easy, I just popped off the tub cover and tilted the tub around to ease the tension and remove the bottom springs with pliers (this may require an assistant). With the tub removed, I turned it over to remove the brake stator. USE CAUTION WHEN REMOVING THE BRAKE STATOR. A 200 LB BRAKE SPRING IS UNDER IT AND IS UNDER TENSION. With the new brake rotor and brake stator secured, I replaced the snubber ring and motor pivot spring. I put it all back together in reverse order and it spun like a top, is quieter and stops on a dime!

WASHER WOULD NOT SPIN DRY
Reviewed others experiences, reviewed the video, read the written instructions. Would have only taken less than 1/2 hour, but I had a problem getting the thin washer and "e" clip on. I ended up just putting on clip without washer but intend to go back at it in 2 weeks or so. Parts solved the problem and the quick shipping was outstanding !

It would agitate slowly and pump. It would only spin about 50% of the time. On and Off.
I followed the instructions to a tee!!!

noisy maching coming from the lower elements
I pulled the machine away from the wall, just enough to lean it back far enough to see the parts at the bottom of the unit. I rolled the belt from the big pulley, popped the dust cover from that pulley, removed the retainer clip, and the parts practically fell to a paper towel. replace them in reverse without any problem. Although I unpl ugged the machine, I did not remove the water hoses or drain line as sufficient room was available with the machine leaned against the wall.

Bad thrust bearing
My tub wouldn't spin fast enough to get the water out of my clothes. The repair guy wanted $500 to replace my thrust bearing and snubber ring. I got the parts and fixed it myself in about an hour. The snubber ring didn't actually need to be replaced. The thrust bearing is an easy job. The only tricky part is the e clip. I was able to take it off and put it back on pretty easily with vice grips and a screwdriver used to fully extend the spindle. Washer works perfectly now.

Tub would weakly spin in rinse/spin cycle
Followed the two recommendation; purchased and installed belt and Transmission Pulley and Bearing Kit. Still had the problem after changing out. I believe it may be a brake or transmission problem.

Machine would not spin during rinse cycle.
Had to replace the thrust bearing. Tilted machine on its back and removed the C clip that holds the bearing and drive pulley all together. Had to make sure the shaft was completely extended in the down position otherwise all the parts wouldn't all fit back on. Trickiest part was to figure out how the belt goes back on. Turns out it is ver y simple... just walk it back on to the drive pulley with a screwdriver as your turning the pulley.
