Product Description

This is an OEM agitator repair kit that includes an agitator cam, four directional cogs, a bearing, thrust spacer, inner cap seal, and washer. These parts are found inside the agitator auger near the top. This kit is used when the top portion of the agitator is not moving correctly but the bottom part is. The agitator is subjected to a lot of force during the wash cycle, so it is common for this part to wear over time, especially if you are consistently over-loading your washer. If your model has a softener dispenser, it will need to be removed to perform this repair. Agitator grease is recommended for this repair, but is not included in this kit.

I watched the videos before I ordered the part and when the order arrived I replaced the parts with no problems. The most time consuming part of the job was cleaning the washer. Top of agitator not working.
Found this site by accident but very glad that I did. The information here solved my problem in less than 15 minutes of searching. Repair kit was very easy to install and the online video was a tremendous help. The only negative thing that I have to say is that I was unable to find the grease (part #350849) that they call for locally. Mig ht be a good idea to include that in the kit or suggest that it is ordered with the kit..

1.Hot water would not feed into washer tub. 2. Agitator stopped working.
Replaced the water control solenoid and rebuilt the agitator.Rather than describing how I did the repairs I recommend watching the videos on the website. They are very informative and easily followed. The most difficult part of the repair was reinstalling the cabinet when the repairs were complete but still a cinch if you watch the videos . An extra pair of hands is helpful to guide the cabinet into place but with patience one can do it alone. Thanks for making the job simple and saving me a service call and $$$ in labor on my 23 year old washer!

motor would not start. strong burnt odor
opened the back panel checked the motor and found nothing. looked around and found capacitor leaked all the oil out. replaced capacitor and tested. all worked as it should.

Top of Agitator would not ratchet
removed cap and seal cap from top agitator removed retaining bolt with 1/2 socket with a long extension. Followed the direction for replacing parts. The 25 year old machine's agitator is functioning and working as expected. Took long to find the tools than doing the repair.

The top half of the agitator was spinning in both directions
Removed softner dispenser, reached in and removed lower plastic disk by pulling up on raised tabs, with a long extension and 7/16 socket removed bolt under the removed disk, lift up on the bottom of the agitator to remove, pull up on top half of the auger and remove, clean all soap scum from the agitator and auger inside and out of both p arts, follow inclosed directions included in repair kit for reassembly of included parts, be careful making sure all parts are lined up and seated properly before replacing bolt. Agitator auger should turn in one direction only.

left top of washer as is
with socket wrench unbolted bolt holding agitator , removed whole unit ,cleaned unit ,looked at all replacement parts and worked in reverse to replace them . This was the easiest job I thought was hopeless.
