My Samsung refrigerator intermittently causes a water hammer when dispensing water or the ice tray refills. I believe the Water Inlet Valve DA62-04027A is the cause, but I do not know where it is located. I've removed the back panels but cannot find it. Can you explain how to access it, please?
For model number RF28HFEDTBC/AA-09
Hello Steven, thank you for your inquiry. We have found that if the noise is coming from the back of the refrigerator, the water inlet valve is most likely faulty. We have found some relevant instructions for you to replace the water inlet valve. They may not be of the exact same model, but they will help you with the installation. You may follow the following steps: remove the rear panel at the bottom of the machine. Use the Phillips screwdriver, and next use a spanner to remove the water pipe from the valve nipple. Start to remove the nut with the spanner. Move the nut out of the way and remove the pipe. Next, reach up and disconnect the plug located above the valve assembly. Once the plug is removed, release the two water hoses from the clips that can be found on the left-hand side of the assembly. Then, once these are out of the way, remove the valve bracket. Unscrew the screw that holds the bracket in place on the far right. Then remove the two black clips known as hose retainers using the pin-nose pliers. At this point, lay down a towel or a cloth beneath the valve and squeeze in and pull the two hoses off the valve assembly, one hose at a time. Follow the same steps backward and install the new water inlet valve. We hope this solves your problem!
