Product Description

This is the replacement ice maker cover bracket for your refrigerator. It is made of white plastic and is approximately 5 inches wide and 2 inches long. The ice maker cover bracket holds and supports the ice maker cover. If the ice maker cover is loose or missing, you may need to replace the bracket. You will also want to replace the bracket if it will not stay in place, or if it is cracked or broken. To replace the cover bracket, simply remove the ice maker cover, then use a ¼ inch nut driver to loosen and remove the bracket. Screw in the new bracket and replace the cover to complete your repair. This is an OEM part that is sold individually.

would not make ice
suggested pre tests did not work and took the majority of the repair time. I replaced the ice level control board and re assembled everything. all works well. test setup and tests took 30 to 40 minutes. installing parts took 15 to 20 minutes with a socket driver and socket ratchet..make sure refridge is unplugged when swapping out control boards. solid red status light when left side flapper door is closed means control board is most likely good. two flashes with one second delay or no light at all with left side flapper door closed means control board is bad. our ice maker was good although we purchased and installed a new one before the control board.
