Ice maker was not crushing ice
and then eventually stopped dispensing any ice I followed a YouTube for GE ice dispensing drive cup and it walks you through the whole process. At one point I needed my son to help with applying some pressure to open the plastic box, but eveyrhing else was simple.

Ice crusher blades were sticking and caused the cup breakage.
Removed a few screws to get the ice bucket apart. pulled out the assembly that holds the ice crusher blades and the end of the cube pushing coil. I removed the crusher blades [ not what a repairman would do, but we never crush ice ] and then installed the new cup. re-installed the unit and everything works smoothly.

Would NOT dispense any ice.
Removed ice tray and replaced broken rear cup drive. As described in other fixes. NOTE: I beleive from the factory the SIZE of the ice cube is too big for the auger and cup drive and that is why it keeps breaking. I also adjusted on the ice maker for less water to make a smaller ice cube. Much smaller crushed ice and working GRE

AT. Be very slow when adjusting the size of the cube. You can make them to small and when asking for crushed you will get a small cube of ice instead of crushed.

Drive Cup - Need 2 sets of hands to pull out the bin
Everything went smoothly until tried to lift recessed tabs apart to pull open the bin. Since I was on my own every time tried to press, hold, and hammer the bin out the opening, tabs went right back to the original spot. Ended up using 2 butter knives to hold tabs away and hammered the bin out. I was very careful not to damage the fram

e while doing this. Took more time choosing the right tool than doing the actual work. Once got the flat and wide butter knives, it took only 30 minutes or less to repair. If senior woman like me can do this, anyone can. Saved ice cubes so I was able to test my handy work right after the repair.

Ice maker would thump, thump, thump and maybe give some ice.
I inspected the tray and found the triangle plastic peace that's modeled in the back of the Drive Cup has broken off. So I order'ed PS964134 replacement Drive Cup and it was easy to install. Just take the tray out dump the ice and wash it out and leave to dry. Then gently pull thee back of rod slipped into the Drive Cup and replace. So f

The augar assembly bore a whole through the plastic housing on the Ice cube storage case causing the plastic cup drive to shear.
Removed the sides from the storage case assembly. Pried the auger backwards towards the motor, then removed the ice dispensing drive cup that was broken. Replaced the cup and immediately upon re-installation the new ice dispensing drive cup sheared again.
