My freezer light shield broke when I jammed some stuff on the freezer's top shelf and it fell onto the top shelf.
Step 1: Open the freezer door.
Step 2: Remove the ice maker, the food, and top freezer shelf.
Step 3: Locate and remove the cross recess screw which held the light shield in place and catch the falling broken light shield tab in your hand.
Step 4: Position the light shield so the hole in the tab lines up with the hole the screw came out of.
Step 5: Screw the cross recess screw into the hole it came out of.
Step 6: Replace the top freezer shelf and the ice maker.
Step 7: Put the food back in the freezer and close the freezer door.

The plastic shield over the freezer light cracked and fell off.
I followed what another customer on your website did…I unscrewed the screw that had held the shield in place, put the shield in place and screwed it back together. It took a lot of twisting of my body to get to it, but I fixed it! Very happy customer! I ordered it one day….it arrived the next day and I installed it immediately. It also h elped to remove the ice receptacle from the freezer before attempting to put the shield in place.
