Checked for condenser fan operation, fan was not running, check motherboard, smelled burnt, looked and found blackened marks on back of motherboard. We changed motherboard and condenser fan still did not run. We ordered fan , but before I installed fan, we checked and original fan was running, guess we should have waited at least 15 min utes before flagging fan motor as bad. Problem was motherboard all along. The site took fan back. Another satisfied customer!

Fan was worn and was rubbing against housing. It was really noisy.
First unplug the fridge. I removed the back panel off of the fridge. There are one or two nuts that secure the housing. I removed the nuts and disconnected the doc power. The fan housing was then removed and I proceeded to remove the fan from the housing. Be careful to pay attention to how it came apart. Next I cleaned all of the dust tha t accumulated on the fan and inside the fridge. Once that was done I put the new mother in the housing and connected back into the fridge. The back cover was then screwed back in.

I believed the compressor fan was faulty, as the refer and freezer were both warmer than should be. I replaced the fan with a new one.
It's a simple replacement job, with very easy instructions on youtube. The new part however did not remedy the problem, and the unit is still running warm. Called the repair man. Something more nefarious going on!
