Front left 8" radiant element failed, would not work, blew breaker
Unplug the range. Open the top oven. Undo the two small screws under the front edge of the glass cooktop. Lift the top from the front like a car hood and prop it up with a board. Take a picture of the old element in its position as a reference. The new one will have to be attached by the brackets at the same numbered hole positions.

Also the wires will have to attach the same way. Undo the wires from the old element by slipping them off the connectors. Undo the right bracket holding the element in place by loosening the screw. It will come off easily. The right bracket is more difficult because it is a clip. Use a screwdriver to push the top of the clip up so it will pass through the opening that it is clipped through. This may take some fussing with but you will eventually get it. Hold on to the element because when this clip comes loose it will be free. Now put the new element in its place. Re attach the clips (this goes a little easier) to the exact hole locations on the element. ( use your photo as reference if you forget). Reattach the wires to the connectors. Close the range top. Replace the two screws under the cooktop egge. Plug in the range and test. You just saved a $100. Service charge!
