Element would not heat
Part # PS1016429 - Remove power from the cooktop. Remove the cooktop form the counter and place on something so it won't scratch the countertop. With the cooktop right side up remove the 16 torx head screws. Do not remove the hex head screws. The glass cooktop should lift off the box. You may need to slightly pry it up being careful not t

o crack or break the glass due to grease and stuff around the edges. I used a small plastic putty knife around the edges very carefully. Lift the glass up and place it aside. Good time to inspect the elements and make sure they are installed correctly and have no burn marks or breaks. I actually had one of the springs fall out. (You can clean the underside of the glass with a microfiber or lint free cloth. Don't use paper towels.) Remove 4 hex head screw holding the bracket for all the switched. (Tip: take a photo with your phone of the wiring on the switch). Remove 2 screws holding the switch and remove the switch and wires. Put the new switch in and attach the wires to the correct terminals. (the photo helped because their is one terminal that has no wire going to it). Replace the screws holding the switch and set the bracket back into place. Replace the 4 hex head screws. Replace the glass being careful to fit correctly and then replace the 16 screws (I alternated one corner to another to make sure it was set in correctly). Place the cooktop back into the counter, turn on the power and test.
