Product Description

The 6” radiant cooking element with limiter fits under the glass cooktop and supplies heat to the cooking area. If your element is not heating, you can test the element for continuity with a multimeter. If the element doesn’t have continuity you will need to replace the element. If it doesn’t have continuity it is suggested to check the element switch because it could be defective and need to be replaced. This element is 1200 watts and is a genuine OEM part. The manufacturer suggests making sure the cooking element is cooled before starting the repair. Please remember to disconnect the power to the appliance before starting the repair.

No quick disconnect plugs.
It took 2 people to repair this item. On this particular model range, there are not quick disconnect plugs to remove the cook op from the the body of the stove. One person had to support the cooktop while the other person was replacing the element. Very frustrating replacement.

replaced a dead burner
lifted the top of the range by removing two middle screws & the top went right up. I held it up by using a two by four. push out two clips from the burner and once the burner is out from it's holder remove the heat clips and put them on the new burner. piece of cake ; even a computer geek can do it. easy!!!!!!!!
