Part number 11764914 is a 12-inch radiant burner and is not 8 inch. Do you have the part number for 8 inch from Whirlpool? On a different website I received 1 burner and was 12 inch. It was sent back, They sent me another one and was a 12 inch radiant burner again. It was sent back. On all the other website they all have the wrong part number for 8 inch burner.

I don't know the correct lingo for these parts, so I'll apologize ahead of time. So the new element is a bit different than the original. (The smaller isn't made anymore by the way.) The black wire connecting the small square transformers? on the outside of the actual round element, has been eliminated and comes already soldered. Just dec
... Read moreonstruct the mounting bracket....being sure to note where the holes are according to the numbers on the back of the element. Otherwise it won't fit since one of the square transformers is larger than the original. You will be left with two unused connecting point tabs. The wires running underneath were a little tight once I got the element back in place, so I had to loosen them. That way they were as far from the element as possible and would ease the tension at the connection point. Reinstalled and voila! I ordered another large element for when the other burns out as a backup. Who knows how long they will continue to manufacture the larger element. Both elements arrived promptly! Hope this helps!
