Product Description

This chrome drip bowl is an OEM approved replacement part designed for use with various models of electric ranges and cooktops. This drip bowl fits under 6-inch burner elements and has a diameter of approximately 8 inches. It sits under the burner, keeping any drips and spill contained. It is common for this part to become discolored, corroded, or otherwise damaged with time, and will need to be replaced. Each drip bowl is sold individually, so this is a good time to check the other drip bowls on the appliance in case you would like to replace those as well (sold separately). No tools are required for installation, simply line up the hole on the bowl with the terminal block and drop it into place. By routinely cleaning this part, it will help to prolong its life.

Old drip pans has rusted out. Simply replaced them.
Removed the surface element and replaced with the new one. If it had continued to overheat as the old one did, I would have had to call an electrician to repair. But so far, it seems to be working fine.

drip pans had become corroded and needed to be replaced
simple process. unplug the electric heating elements, take out the the old drip pans, put in the new drip pans and re-insert the electric heating elements.
