The handle to my microwave broke at the top screw and the bottom screw
I hired a man to do it and he had some difficulty getting the door apart to get to the screws to take the old handle off and put on the new handle. Even though it is a stainless steel microwave the handle was made of a thick plastic and because it is mounted above the stove to act as a vented hood as well as a microwave, I believe that i s why the handle weakened and broke. The Microwave is about 6-7 years old. My sister has a Kitchenaid Microwave in white and her handle did the same thing even faster than mine did.
