The relay switch may also be known as the door micro switch and is a part for your microwave. The function of this part is to monitor the door latch and communicate whether the door latch is open or closed to the electronic control board. My microwave turns on, table spins and timer counts down but doesn't heat up the food. What would cause this?

Microwave light would turn on but the turn table would not turn and the heating system did not work.
I first read some blogs about my microwave and foud that several people had the same problem Then I removed the top vent cover(three screws through the vent easy to see and locate. Removed one screw from above the control panel and removed the control panel. This made easy access to the three mico switches that engage the door latch syste m. the bottom switch should some sign of heat damage (some melting) i ordered the part and reinstalled the peaces I removed and the microwave is working perfectly now. $35.00 dollar fix insted of a $250.00 microwave reolacement. I did not have to remove the microwave from its position in the cabinetry.

Followed directions from others who posted. Removed too grill (3 screws), then removed screw for control panel ( buttons for settings). Removed lower relay switch and replaced with new. Worked like a charm! Tip: if possible, use 2 people, 1 to hold the control panel and give access room to the switches, and the other to pull the old sw itch and replace.
