It is designed to snap if your auger gets jammed or clogged, to protect your snow blower from further damage. Because this part is meant to snap at a certain point of pressure, it is a commonly replaced part in snow blowers. Consequently, we recommend keeping a spare on hand. This lock nut is used for lawn and garden equipment, and is sold individually. This nut resists loosening when it is correctly threaded onto a bolt in your tool. The measurements are: the diameter of the bolt hole is 3/8 inches and the thread count is 16. Ends of control cables are attached with small plastic holder that easily breaks.

Remove small broken plastic cable barrel holder from handle bar mounted control lever with medium standard blade screw driver. Insert control cable barrel into the new replacement holder and re-install to the control lever using existing mounting screw. Order extra cable barrel holders and attach to tiller handle with wire or ty-rap so you have them handy for future use. Easy to replace but tiller is useless without it. chute flange keepers were worn they would not stay in place the tabs that hold them in place were broken

i replaced all three in about 15 minutes I first had remove the chute positioner then remove the chute install the flanges . then i repositioned the chute and secure it in place by locking the chute on to the snow blower with the flanges. Read more...

Replace sheave plate and side skid shoes on snowblower.

Remove eight bolts and two skid shoes and bottom sheave plate. Replace in reverse order.
