Due to careless storage, The edges on the soleplate are nicked (dented) on both sides, causing the iron to catch on fabric instead of smooth gliding when ironing. Can I sand the edges of the soleplate? or should I replace the soleplate?
Please advise and include replacement parts numbers if needed. Thank you

Hello Zain, thank you for your query. We have found some relevant instructions for you to install the soleplate. They may not be of the exact same model, but they will help you with the process. You may follow the following steps: take a putty knife and insert it in the front base of the iron to pry off the cover. After removing the cover, unthread the screw holding the front of the iron. Remove the three screws holding the back panel of the iron. Now remove the power cord from the front by unthreading the two screws. Now, remove the two screws at the bottom of the back to remove the top of the iron. After removing the top, unthread the three screws and remove the plastic panel on top of the soleplate and take it off. Now install the new plate by following the same process backward. We hope this information helps!
