Product Description

The connection ports on the water inlet valve are John Guess fittings. To remove, it is recommend to push the line in and then hold the ring in. While holding the ring in, pull the line out. To re-install, push the line in until there is resistance. Push until the line "pops" in another 1/4". Pull on the line with out touching the ring to seat seal. This is a genuine OEM part and inclused 5/16" inlet tube.

inlet valve cracked
The tubing was the trickiest part. First shut off the water supply to the ice maker. To remove both the tubes from the valve the colored locking ring must be depressed to relieve pressure on the tubing. The compression type tubing will then slide out of the valve housing. The wiring is easily unplugged and there were two screws on the mou nting bracket. The two lower front panels must be removed for access and there are two screws in each of the front panels which must be removed. Once new valve is installed, turn on water supply to insure there are no leaks before reassembling the front panels.
