Washer would not agitate unless manually held. Spinning was also a problem.
Removed 2 screws from front panel, pulled panel forward, removed 2 more screws, disconnected a wire, unplugged the old timer and plugged in the new timer. Put the front panel back in place. My 25+ year old washer Works like it’s brand new!

Rinse and Spin cycle erratic. Found contacts burned.
1- Pulled the electrical plug from the wall. 2- Unscrewed the outer knob and carefully pried the indicator parts. 3- Unsrewed the 2 screws holding the switch. 4- Pulled the 2 sheet metal screws at each end of the panel and pulled forward then back. 5- Pulled the multi-wire plug from the Switch. 6- Reverse to reistall. WORKED GREAT!
