Product Description

This is the replacement micro switch, or dispenser switch for your refrigerator. It is gray in color and measures approximately 1 inch by half an inch. The dispenser switch is what tells your refrigerator that it is ok to dispense ice or water. If your refrigerator is not dispensing ice or water, you may have a faulty or damaged switch. Be sure to disconnect the power to your refrigerator before you begin this repair. This switch is sold individually and is a genuine OEM replacement part sourced directly from the manufacturer.

micro switch failed - water would not shut off
I watched the video and replaced the switch. It took me about 15 minutes to remove the escutcheon, and about 30 seconds to replace the switch. I was careful because I didn't want to damage the clips on the back of the escutcheon so I went slowly. The water dispenser works properly now. I replaced the ice maker door flapper because it was really cheap and I already had it apart. It took about 10 seconds to replace. The parts came really fast (2 days) and the videos are great.

no water_but ice ok
I changed the pump first, as per the video on your web site. 2nd, I changed the solenoid assembly. 3rd, I changed the toggle switch. I followed the video for each repair. Still no water. I called the HELP # on the web site. The people at the service center were very nice BUT they were not mechanics. They were using the same blue prints that I was looking at on my PC screen. The layout does not show the WATER LINE from the bottom of the left door to the dispenser. It disappears in the door. So, still no water, but the ice is OK. Still need help.

micro switch
The water dispenser on my refrigerator wouldn't dispense water. So I went to fix.com to find out why. They gave me 4 different reasons why it wasn't working. 3 of them were relatively inexpensive and the 4th was expensive and difficult to replace. So I went with the 3 easy fixes and 1 of them worked. Not sure which one. Also I liked how they showed me how to replace each part.
