Product Description

This OEM door mullion spring is found in French door style refrigerators, and is used to apply tension between components in the fridge doors. The spring engages and retracts the door flap, which allows the door to close properly. To replace this part, you will need a pair of needle nose pliers to remove the old spring from the mullion, and insert the new one in its place. A sign you should have this part replaced is if the door does not close properly due to the door flap swinging freely.

Hi, I need to replace the mullion spring on my Sansom refrigerator. The video was excellent however the spring broke in half and now it’s stuck on the right side where it goes down. Can you advise me how to fix this please. Thank you

LEFT SIDE DOOR FLAP WOULD NOT TURN IN WHEN CLOSING

Step 1: Opened up beer and drank a couple times.
Step 2: Put in spring at top end and tried to insert into bottom end. That did not work so I finished my beer and opened up another one! Flapper door between the French doors was not functioning properly.

I slipped the top end of the spring in first, and then the bottom part of the spring to complete the repair.

The springs on the french door broke

It was hard to find any pictures so I could only replace one. Jennifer T. was very helpful. With a little effort, I popped in the spring on the bottom, but couldn't on the top.

The door mullion spring looked just like the picture. I watched your installation video and easily placed the spring. However, the spring did not work to fix the problem. I then read reviews and found that the spring needed to be placed in upside down from what the video shows. So I flipped it and it works perfectly now. Could your video be redone to perhaps include that the spring may need to be turned over for it to work?
