Product Description

This condenser fan motor is used with frost-free refrigerators with a condenser coil. When the compressor runs, so does this fan, circulating air through the refrigerator grille, cooling the compressor and condenser coils. This part also helps to evaporate excess water in the drain pan. If your refrigerator/freezer section is too warm you may need to replace this part. This is a genuine OEM part. Please remember to disconnect the power to your refrigerator before starting the repair.

When you say motor is clockwise is that from shaft end or looking at backside?

Refrigerator didn't seem to be keeping things as cold, freezer also dropped in temp and wouldn't make ice due to not being cold enough.
Unplug power cord.Remove ice maker water line.9/16 wrench. 1/4in driver needed.Remove cardboard insulated cover and the louvered covecover by the fan. disconnect fan electrical harness. Remove screws that hold the frame work to the refrigerator that the fan is mounted to. It should come out with ease. Remove the fastener that holds the f an blade to fan motor. Take care not to bend the blades. Remove the screws on the back of the fan that holds it to the frame work. You will have to cut the wire connector off on the wires on the refrigerator that connect to the fan. Installation of the new fan motor is all in reverse order as it came out. When wiring the fan in, it don't matter what wires are connected together. I have to say through all this my nine year old son was watching and listening. When I received the new motor I told him that he could put it back together. After he had the fan mounted on the frame work I set it in and he fastened it all together. I then did the electrical work. He finished putting the back covers on. He passed all inspections.

fan would start and stop periodicaly casing frizer items to melt
Disconnect the fan for ease of access. Remove fan assembly. Splice the motor power cable. Connect replacement motor wire with supplied caps. mount motor back in place and put the fan back on the motor.Do not forger to unplug the refrigerator prior to any work mentioned.

Fan motor bad
1)Took off back 2)remove fan housing 3) cut wire at old motor 4) remove motor from mounting brackets 5)remove fan from motor 6) attach fan to new motor 7) attach new motor to mounting brackets. 8) strip wire and attach to wires on motor with wire nuts and wrap with electrical tape 9) check fan functions 10) reinstall fan housing 11) repl ace back 12) plug in and done!

Motor/fan mounting flanges were cracked
tried fabricating the three brackets, but difficult because of limited accessible space. The brackets/flanges are no longer available anywhere. Next I will try to fashion them from coat hangers. Meanwhile have all contents in garage refrigerator-what a pain. Thanks for asking!

Fan motor was making loud noises
Because of limited accessibility tto the fan motor, it was easier to remove the fan first, than remove the three brackets supporting the motor. Installation was the reverse of removal. The difficulty with this repair, was being able to get your hands into a small area. The kit provided all we needed. Thanks for the prompt service.

Very loud sound coming from under my fridge.
First I would like to say what a pleasure it was ordering a part from your company ! I could have gotten the same part a little cheaper at another on-line parts supplier. I felt very safe ordering from you ,because of all of the safeguards that you have in place !! The repair could not have gone bett er. First you pull the fridge out to get to the back. Locate the loud fan motor in the R/Rear of fridge. Unplug the unit , cutting power to the fridge. Remove the 3 screws holding the fan motor in place. Disconnect the 2 power wires that go to the fan. Remove the fan ,motor unit from the fridge being careful not to bend the fan blade. Remove the fan blade and reinstall new blade being careful to put it back correctly or fan will push air instead of pulling . Replace the 3 screws and connect the power wires using the included wire nuts. Plug in the unit and be amazed at how quiet your fridge can be !!

conderser fan motor was making noise & not cooling right
This a straight forward repair with simply getting the fan motor out of its support brackets in the refrigerator, cutting the 2 electrical wires, reattaching the plug from the old fan onto the new one and putting the new fan back into the support brackets. The difficulty with this repair was getting access to the fan to get it unattache d and reattached. It is a very tight space so it takes some patience to get the job done. The part sent was exactly right and the repair saved having to buy a new refrigerator
