Product Description

This part releases the detergent and rinse aid into the dishwasher. This detergent dispenser is for dishwashers. Detergent dispenser holds the dishwasher detergent in a covered compartment. Unplug the dishwasher or shut off the house circuit breaker before installing this part. Wear work gloves to protect your hands during this repair.

Soap dispenser not opening during wash cycle
Removed 8 screws from the door panel. Front panel came off easily. Removed screws from holding bracket on the soap dispenser and removed protective cover. Old part came right out after gently prying the retaining clips. Removed plug for solenoid and removed old part. New part fit perfectly. Reversed my previous steps and appliance is work ing like new again. Total time from start to finish was about 25 minutes. Was able to complete over my lunch hour. Minimal tools required, star bit and small socket for the holding bracket.

The dispensing door wasn't opening at the right time or not at all
I separated the inner door from the outer door to get to the dispensing unit. I removed the screws holding the dispensing unit to the inner door and unplugged the power cord replacing it with the new unit. I reattached the inner and outer doors and ran a cycle. The dishwasher is running great, no more caked soap in the door.
