Icemaker leaking water when water filling tray
Icemaker was leaking; read other repair scenarios and determined (hoped) the cause of the leak may have been the seal eroding around the heating coil, therefore tried replacing that piece of the Icemaker. I ordered the part from and followed the EXTREMELY helpful video on YouTube provided by this site and the part replacement was successf ul and the Icemaker no longer leaks and is working perfectly. Thank you so much for saving me tons of money!!

Ice maker leaking water onto items in freezer
The most difficult was removing ice from tray under ice maker. After getting the ice out of the way it was just a case of sliding the entire unit off the mount. The power connector and mounting bolts were removed and the unit was disassembled. Then the new parts were assembled and the unit was slid back in place. Reinstall mounting bolts and connect power connector. The new ice mold needed a careful washing. before assembly.

Ice Mold
Disassembled the ice maker, cleared all the components. The ice mold was corroded and the finish was coming of into the ice as well as leaking (forming icicles in the freezer). There is no need to turn off the water for this procedure. The primary tool for this is a phillips head screw driver, slender, in order to fit the depth on the bot tom. Remove the side (gear/motor) cover and remove that from the ice mold. Then remove the base housing from the old mold. Again once this done, clean your parts, then ensure that the contact points on the motor are clean and apply contact grease for cold temps to them. Now insert the new mold into the motor and reassemble.

No ice...
Removed the icemaker....one screw on lower right, two rail clips on right and left, and electrical connector. Removed the bottom cover (two screws?). Disengaged the electrical connector. Separated the timer assembly from the ice mold (three screws through the timer assembly into the ice mold). Found one of the two ice mold heater electric al connections with the rubber attached had corroded and separated requiring ice mold replacement. Replaced ice mold with new "plumbers putty" around connections. As a "while I have it apart" fix...replaced the thermostat. Re-assembled.
