freezer would not defrost
You have to take the freezer door out and remove the ice maker, then take off the back panel in the freezer. I tested the two thermostats,(the little white things) one in the freezer and the one at the top in the fridge (to test them you will have to open controls at the top, you will have to open it up anyway) the two white wires from t

he thermostats go all the way through the back up there. I test them with my multi-meter, you put them in ice and watch the resistance change. then I tried testing the Bi-metallic sensor on the coils (the black one) the old one and new one both showed the same resistance reading (59.9) but because this item was only 30 bucks I changed it out anyway. Well it's going on two weeks now and the coils are still frost free, so it might be worth changing this first, vice buying the 250$ controller.
