When the defrost heater is at work melting frost on the evaporator coils the water needs to go somewhere, this pan collects the dripping water created during that process. If you have notice your appliance is leaking you make have an issue with the evaporator pan. This defrost evaporator pan is almost sixteen inches long, it is made of plastic, and it is back in color.
