No water entering dishwasher
Turned off power and water to dishwasher. Removed copper water supply line, from brass elbow on valve inlet, using adjustable wrench. Removed valve and bracket assembly from frame of DW via removing two Phillips head screws. Disconnected electrical connections to valve (pull off with fingers). Removed water outlet hose via pliers to squee ze hose clamp. Placed water inlet valve in vise and removed brass inlet elbow with wrench. Removed old thread tape from elbow and replaced with new thread tape. Installed elbow into new water inlet valve using vise and wrench. Re-installed by reserving the process above and my 30 plus year old DW has worked fine ever since. Best $40 some bucks ever spent. Previous valve was so old, it was filled with solder balls and slag from upstream hot water line plumbing changes years ago and the inlet screen had long since rusted away or there never was one. :o)
