Dryer would not start
I did the repair as told. Took out lint catcher, removed two screws, used a putty knife to open top, removed two screws holding the switch, removed switch and replaced it with new one. Once new switch was in place fastened it in place and closed the lid, fastened the lid and replaced the filter. Very simple. Thanks for the instruction s.

The clothes dryer quit putting out heat
I went to this site on-line, entered the model number, and was shown an exploded view of the dryer. I ordered the parts I believe I needed. With the shipping confirmation e-mail (parts were shipped the same day I ordered) there were brief installation videos for each part ordered. This was an unexpected and truly appreciated feature. I v iewed each video and found that I was prepared to replace these parts when they arrived a few days later. I am not an appliance repairman. This project could not have been made easier. Broken door switch. At first dryer wouldn't shut off when door was opened; than later wouldn't run at all.
Google "How To Change A Whirlpool Dryer Door Switch" to find a video that shows the switch being replaced. Basically you (1) unplug the electrical cord (2) pull out lint screen (3) remove the two screws that secure the track that the lint screen slides into (3) use a putty knife to release the clips that hold the top to the body (4) remo ve old switch (5) install new switch (6) lower top back down on to retaining clips (7) screw in the two screws that secure lint screen track (8) slide in lint screen (9) plug electrial cord into outlet

Dryer Wouldn't Shut Off When The Door Was Opened.
I really can't improve on the repair video supplied by this site. It took me a bit longer to accomplish because I followed the video step-at-a-time. If it takes more than a half hour, you may have misunderstood something!! Again, very easy.

Dryer Stopped all of a sudden
I first found out about this site from You-Tube and watched the gentleman and did it myself, the only problem I had was lifting the "Top" up. Once I got it up it was an easy fix. I was very Proud of myself.
