Dryer drum was scaping badly as it rotated.
Drum plastic top bearing was worn through. Ordered replacement part, installed it ok. Turned unit control panel on,but panel would not function and a "lock" option came on and immobilized all functions. Troubleshooting instructions did not unlock unit. Had GE tech look at it, said that we needed a new "user interface control board". Order ed, installed, same problem, locked up. Ordered, installed new "main power board", unit now works ok. GE tech was of no help whatsoever..$79 service fee. Am returning the unused $200 "user interfaced control board" for refund. Not hard repair but took 2 weeks to finish.
