Product Description

This coil ignition kit is used in dryers to open the gas valve when the dryer is on. This kit includes two coils. One is a two-wire secondary coil and the other is a three-wire booster coil. If your dryer does not heat or you notice heating inconsistencies, then the gas valve may be damaged and it is best to replace it to solve this problem. To repair, first release the two retaining clips that hold the top panel in place, then remove two screws that retain the front panel of the dryer cabinet. Next, pull the front panel forward and remember to disconnect the door switch. After accessing the gas coils, start removing the wires and unscrew the bracket that holds the coils. Remember to remove both the dual and main coil without removing the spacer. For more information on the kit and repair instructions, refer to diagram for a list of the parts.

I opened the dryer with instructions from Youtube, and look for the parts that I thought had the problem: Flame sensor and Ignition Coil Kit. Put dryer back together and turned on, it works like a champ, :-) I requested a repairman from Sears and he told me to just buy a new one, because the part needed cost $459.00, but for some reason i t made no sense to me, so I went to this site and put the model number of my dryer and the problem, and they suggested that I replace the flame sensor. little/no heat
checked on line how to take dryer apart, more screws and wires than I thought. Once I took a screw out, I labeled it on a piece of paper where it came from. I also to pictures. I wanted to make sure I put it back together correctly. I wasn't sure which part was bad, but I narrowed it down to 2 parts and ordered them both since cost f or both was under $50.00. Once I got the dryer back together it worked great! Happy wife, happy life :).

dryer not heating properly
everything removed easily, had to use ninety degree screw driver on flame sensor, bend tab a little to replace. did not solve my heating problem. trying to figure what to do next.

Dryer ran but no heat.
I reviewed the parts select video and there was a huge possibility that it was the coil kit. I gambled and ordered the parts. Worked great. While most dryers seem to have the coils in a place where you have to remove the drum, my frigidaire galaxy model has the coils right up front so i had to lift the top and remove the front. Put th e new part on and back in business. Delivery of my part was with a few days and the price was competitive. I definitely will make sure that is site is my first go to for troubleshooting my appliance problems.

Dryer did not heat.
I removed the front access panel and replaced the 'M' Series Ignition Coils. I then vacuumed the interior of dryer, reinstalled the top and front panels and 'voila,' the dryer works perfectly!

no flame
Open the little service door at the bottom left.Shutt off the electricity [pull cord out] disconnect the 2 plug from the 2 coils and using a phillips screwdriver took off the screws holding the plate take out both coils ,install the 2 new ones and put back the plate with the screws and the 2 plugs and thats it. Dryer is back to working mo de again.

Gas Dryer was not heating. Diagnosed the actuator coil.
Diagnosed bad coil by wiggling terminal connection on coil. Intermittent flame. Ordered the coil kit and replaced both. Works great. This site had the parts at my house in 3days.
