Dirty dishwasher, dishes not getting clean
The inside parts were covered in calcium and lime, so I wanted to remove everything, give it a thorough scrub down and put back together. Dishwasher not draining.
My dishwasher is mocking me. I had a lot of dirty, white, standing water in the basin at the end of the cycle. I was unable to drain using the drain feature. persisted. As I continued to troubleshoot, I observed that the dishwasher would drain if all the inner parts were removed, but not when assembled. Thinking it may be due to the accumulator filter being clogged, I replaced that part as well. The situation is much improved, but still present. The repair is very easy, a matter of removing all of the screws (you will need a star tip driver, 2 sizes. Why all the screws cannot use the same size is beyond me, only the impeller requires a different size), changing out the part and reassembling.
