Product Description

This is a handle actuator for your dishwasher. It is made of black plastic, and is sold individually. The handle actuator is found in the control panel, and it releases the door latch when you lift the handle. If your current handle actuator is cracked or broken, you may not be able to open your dishwasher door, or the door will not close properly. The dishwasher also may not be able to start, and if this is the case, you will need to replace this part.

Dishwasher door could not be opened - door handle/actuator was broken.
After figuring out how to get the door opened (Google search was big help), unscrewed dozen or so screws holding interior plastic door panel. Removed two broken parts (door handle actuator and latch handle), put new parts in place, reattached interior plastic door panel, and repair was complete.

Door Handle Actuator replacement
Looked up part that needs to replaced on You tube. Watched the parts select video on how to replace dishwasher handle actuator. The video was very informative and very helpful to replacing my dish washer handle actuator.

Broken latch on dishwasher
Due to an injury to my hand, my wife attempted to repair the latch on our dishwasher by watching the video on this site. The only difficulty was in disconnecting the piece that held the control panel to the door. In the video, the guy's arm is in the way so she wasn't sure how to remove the clip that held it in place. The rest of the repa ir went very smoothly and she was very proud of herself for fixing the dishwasher. By the way, the parts arrived here in less than 24 hours.

The actuator broke and I could not open the dishwasher
I found the parts online and also a video on the repair process. My dishwasher was a little different than what was presented in the video. I ordered all the handle parts thinking that I should replace them all given they were the same age. I loosened 6 screws and gained access to the "guts" of the door. I removed all the pieces for t he handle. I rebuilt the handle assembly and it works as just like it did when new. Too easy. this site made it real easy to do on my own.
