Product Description

This interlock switch is a genuine OEM part that can be used in a variety of appliances like dishwashers and dryers. The switch is also known as a belt switch and works as a simple on and off mechanism. The switch is used to stop the appliance from operating if the door has been opened. If your appliance continues to run even once the door has been opened, the interlock switch may have failed. Please be sure to disconnect the power source to your appliance before beginning this repair.

dishwasher didn't work
I used the screw driver to open back panel. I then used pliers to free wires from both ends of old interlock switch. I then attached wires to new interlock switch and replaced back panel. It works like a charm now.

dishwasher would not stop when lever on door was opened
Used screw gun to open door up. removed switch interlock n replaced with new. screwed it in n screwed door shut. turned on washer n then opened door n waher had stopped. piece of cake.
