my dishwasher has water in it when it stops. Does the pump have a valve in it that can get stuck closed.

Hello David, thank you for your question. We have researched your model and found out that most of the times the water inlet valve, part number FIX1990907, is faulty and needs to be replaced. This valve allows water from the sink into the dishwasher. Also try checking your dishwasher drain hose. If it is lying flat under the kitchen sink, it will also drain the water back into the dishwasher. Blow through the hose or poke a wire hanger through to check for clogs. Make sure the hose seal is tight. We hope this information helps.
