Dishwasher not draining, drain pump motor suspected
After turning the power and water supplies off, I removed the lower front panel and door panel to gain access to the connections, then disconnected the power supply, water supply and drain hose. I removed both top and bottom trays, and unscrewed the top mounts from the cabinet underside. Pulled the dishwasher out and laid it on its side

(bad move, as there was still water in it - laying it backwards would have been smarter) to be able to access the drain pump.
I disconnected the two power leads to the drain pump motor then unscrewed the three torx screws holding the motor to the pump (one is VERY hard to get to without a long torx driver, so be prepared!) and removed the motor assembly. The new motor and gasket fit correctly, so I replaced the three screws and tightened them down, then re-attached the power leads. Fit the dishwasher back into its cabinet, reconnected the power, water supply and drain hose and gave it a quick test run, by turning it on, letting it fill with some water, then pressing the On/Cancel button again and voila! - the happy sound of water draining as it should.
So far, no leaks, no sparks and I am a happy (and slightly smug) camper with clean dishes once again.

won't drain
Getting the dishwasher out will probably be the hardest part. The part replacement was simple. Make sure you keep an eye out for the hoses that they don't get pinched. Pulling dishwasher in or out. Other wise very simple repair if you know what a screw driver is.
