This part includes one authentically sourced 3-pin rocker switch for a refrigerator. It is responsible for turning the light on inside the fridge when the door is open. It is commonly replaced because the light has stopped turning on with the door open. For this simple repair, start by disconnecting the power. Use a putty knife and a flathead screwdriver to pry the door switch out of the liner. Disengage the wire harness to release the damaged switch. Install the new door switch by first connecting it to the wire harness. Line the switch up on the liner and snap it into position. Power it back up and double-check that it is working.

This genuine OEM light switch is used to control the light in your refrigerator. When the fridge door is closed, it depresses the switch and turns the light off. When the fridge door opens, it releases the switch, and the light turns on. If the light is staying on when the door is closed, or the light is not on at all, there may be an issue with the switch. The part can be tested with a multimeter to determine if it is defective. Please be sure to disconnect the power supply to your fridge before beginning this repair.

The dispenser door solenoid is the part that controls the flapper door on your ice maker, allowing it to open and close when dispensing ice. If your ice maker is not dispensing ice or water, the door is not opening or closing, or the door is sweating, there may be an issue with the dispenser door solenoid. You can test this part with a multimeter to determine if it is faulty. If the part has failed it will need to be replaced. This part is a genuine OEM replacement for your dispenser door solenoid assembly.

If the light inside your fridge is not coming on, or if it is staying on continuously, there may be an issue with your door switch. When the door to your fridge is closed, the button on the switch is pressed down, which breaks the circuit and turns the lightbulb off. When the door opens and the button is released, the circuit is connected, and the light comes on. If you are unsure if the issue is with the door switch, or if your lightbulb has burned out, you can test the switch for continuity with a multimeter. If necessary, replacing the door switch is a simple repair, but please be sure to disconnect the power supply to your refrigerator before beginning any electrical repairs. This genuine OEM part is white in color and measures approximately 2.5 inches long.
