Dryer heats up and turns but will not turn off automatically in the timed mode or the sensor mode. It just continues to run until the dial is turned manually or the door is opened.

Hello Maria, thank you for your question! Follow these instructions to remove the back panel:
1: Turn the dryer around and remove all screws, using the nut driver starting with the screw that holds in the terminal block.
2: Slowly lift up on the terminal block and remove the back panel

Does not heat. Have replaced coil and all the thermostats that came in a kit.

Hi Scott, thank you for getting in touch. As you have already replaced the heating element and thermostats, the issue is most probably with the dryer timer, part number FIX11749833. It controls the electrical components and the duration of the dryer cycles. You may need to replace it to fix the issue. We hope that helps!
First I unplugged the dryer, then removed the back panel, this exposed most all of the wiring and I could see the heater coils. Not knowing what the problem was I started looking at the coils and could not see any broken parts. Read moreneedle nose pliers, it was held in place by two screws, once they were removed the fuse came out easily, I checked continuity with a volt meter placing the meter on X1 Ohms and could not get a reading. I replaced with a new one and put it all back together the way I took it apart. Then I plugged it in and it worked first time, I now have warm dry clothes.

To reach the heating element you only need to open the back cover of the dryer (about 8 nut-head screws). Remember to disconnect the power.
